We are excited to announce that registration is open for our 2024 fall phase. This phase will run August to October and we can’t wait to see you there.

Adaption is key! ❄️ With unfortunate weather Adaption is key! ❄️ With unfortunate weather conditions disrupting our training plans, we switched it up with a Zoom session for our U16/19 group. We kicked it off with some emoji trivia (shoutout to Jana & Eve for snagging the Wildcard points). Then we dove into some futsal fundamentals with a crash course on the rules & positioning, followed by some video analysis 🎥 To wrap it all up, we learned the essential components of creating and analyzing a solid scout report! All to say, was a pretty successful session🙌
Congrats to Jr. Huskies’ alumnus @_anna_oliver O Congrats to Jr. Huskies’ alumnus @_anna_oliver Oliver on being the Community Service Award recipient for CanWest & USports!! 🙌 When Anna was a Junior Huskies player, she organized a volunteer activity for the program to participate with the Special Olympics. Today, she has continued on this passionate path as a student-athlete who continues to serve her community! “While we only get 5 years to make an impact on the field [in University Sport], the impact we have on the community is lifelong.” - Anna Oliver So well deserved Anna ☺️

We have 3 Junior Huskies graduates to farewell and We have 3 Junior Huskies graduates to farewell and cheer them on their future endeavours. 🤩🫡 MAREN SMITH:    My five years with juniors have taught me a lot about soccer and myself through a driven and supportive environment. Next year i’m attending the U of S and focusing on my academics and playing recreationally CAEDANCE (CAEDY) SMITH: In my past 5 years of junior huskies, I have learnt how to be a better player and person! The environment has always been supportive and it was something I always looked forward to. I am excited to be able to stay closely involved with the program while playing with the U of S huskies soccer team this coming fall! JOSIE MEDERNACH: I joined junior huskies later, but it was an amazing experience. The environment was nothing but positive and supportive through the girls and coaches. I had improved so much with just little time in juniors! • We are so proud of you all and are so excited to see you thrive in the years to come! 🐶💚

Yesterday wrapped up the last session of our summe Yesterday wrapped up the last session of our summer phase. 🐶💚 Special thank you to all the players and coaches for their hard work and dedication on and off the field. If any of you kept up with the stories you know A LOT of wildcard points were given out. We tallied the points and have awarded the top 3 in each age group with a reward! U16/19: 🥇 Sofia Murrieta 🥈 Caedy Smith 🥉 Hana Fong U11/13: 🥇 Sadie Boehm 🥈 Amelia Donauer 🥉 Ariah Wagner We look forward to building off everything learned as we head into our fall/winter phase! 🤘

Living out some of our key principles in our Huskie DNA playing Philosophy ✅⚽️🙌 Clip #1 - A great collective team goal with defensive transition habits to regain possession and then 3rd player combinations to build and progress. 📝 Clip #2 - Using dribbling (in this case driving with the ball., ie less touches needed) as a skill to progress up the field and a great cross for a back post finish ✅ Clip #3 - Playing quick combinations to get out of pressure and creating a final action on net 💪 Clip #4 - 1v1 defending pressure to regain possession and attack in transition with a dribble. 🙌 Clip #5 - Regaining possession, being patient in our buildup to switch the point of attack and finish with a cross and back post run (soo close to a ⚽️) 👏 Clip #6 - Mindset to embrace and take players on 1v1 in attacking areas. Through all these clips a few things are key to note: Our philosophy is all about encouraging players to find different solutions (pass, dribble, 1v1 or shooting from distance) to each situation that presents itself. We believe in creating an environment of PLAY in tight spaces that pushes our players to constantly seek and create space, play on quicker touches (knowing when to play on 1 or 2 touches) and still express creativity to learn how to compete and win 🏆 ✅ These are some highlights of our recent competition day for our U16/ U19 Age Group. 👀🙌 Stay tuned as we post more clips this week from our U11 & U13 groups as well.
